Education at KIT is aimed at qualifying young people by extensive scientific and research-oriented training and imparting interdisciplinary competences. At the end of their studies, the students are able to independently identify current and future problems, work on complex issues, and develop sustainable solutions using scientific methods. To reach this objective, KIT pursues the strategy of research-oriented teaching.
Higher education and studying at KIT are characterized by a students-oriented teaching and learning culture with an open and creative teaching and learning environment. This is achieved by broad international exchange including students and teachers as well as by the extensive integration of research projects, also in large-scale laboratories, into higher education.
