TU9 universities are participating at the "Promotion Tour 2008" in São Paulo and other cities with a common booth
“The Brazilian universities have got a high level of teaching and research in engineering and natural science”, says Professor Horst Hippler, president of TU9 and Rector of the Universität Karlsruhe (TH). “We would like to attract young people to continue their studies in these fields with a master or to find their way into research as a doctorate student at a TU9 university.”
Visits at German Schools are planned
Furthermore TU9 student advisors are visiting German Schools on location to answer any students’ questions : Scheduled are informative meetings at the Colégio Humboldt and at the Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro; both of them are located in São Paulo.
The fair attendance is taking place in cooperation with the TU9 partner GATE-Germay.

According to the Federal Statistical Office the TU9 universities achieved top placements in their ranking on third-party funding: The nine TU9 members raised in 2005 a total of 739 million Euro. That are about 20 per cent of all third-party funding raised by German universities.
