Double degree programs

Double degree programs make it possible for students to simultaneously earn degrees from two different universities. First, one registers for such a program either at a TU9 academic institution in Germany or at a partner university abroad and completes the basic studies there. After the basic studies is a longer period of study (1-2 years) at the other university. Most of the time, one can also write his or her thesis there.

With the acquisition of a double degree, one increases his or her career chances because one has a degree that will be 100% accepted in two countries.

Double diploma programs at RWTH Aachen:

TIME (Top Industrial Managers for Europe)

This double diploma program exists between the Ecole Centrale Paris and the RWTH Aachen for the subjects mechanical engineering, geo-resources and material technology, electrical engineering and informational technology.

German-Chinese Exchange Program between RWTH Aachen and Tsinghua University in Beijing

"Study together – research together"
Interested students of RWTH Aachen can apply for the new RWTH Aachen and Tsinghua-University Beijing collaborated English-language Masters degree program in the subjects "Production Engineering" and "Automotive Engineering". The degree program should lead to a double degree recognized in Germany as well as in China.

The study abroad at the partner university lasts for one year. The courses will be held in English at both universities. The begin of studies in Beijing is usually the beginning of September.
