Double degree programs

Double degree programs make it possible for students to simultaneously earn degrees from two different universities. First, one registers for such a program either at a TU9 academic institution in Germany or at a partner university abroad and completes the basic studies there. After the basic studies is a longer period of study (1-2 years) at the other university. Most of the time, one can also write his or her thesis there.


With the acquisition of a double degree, one increases his or her career chances because one has a degree that will be 100% accepted in two countries.

TIME (Top Industrial Managers for Europe)

The TU Berlin is  a member of the TIME network - TOP INDUSTRIAL MANAGERS OF EUROPE. Double diploma agreements are in the fields of electrical engineering, energy and process technology, physical engineering and transports. The TIME network not only offers cooperation opportunities with the French Grandes Ecoles, but also with other European top universities, such as the Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm, the Helsinki University of Technology, the ETH Zürich or the Politecnico di Milano.
