Student Services

The Studentenwerk Berlin, working for the state Berlin, is responsible for the "social, health, financial and cultural support" of Berlin students (§ 1 Paragraph. 1 Studentenwerk Law) – that is, that to give a helping hand to students with numerous questions and problems.

Included are the following services:

• Dining halls and cafeterias
  
  
• Living: more than 40 residence halls with over 10,500 beds
  
  
• Jobs: arrangement of student jobs, every year over 35,000
  
  
• Advice and support for psychological or social problems, children's day care
  
  
• federal financial aid: In Berlin, the Studentenwerk is responsible for financial aid according to the federal education financial aid law.
