International

The TU Berlin manages academic cooperations with more than 100 academic institutions worldwide. There are exchange programs for students with over 230 universities in Europe and overseas. Together with foreign partner universities, the TU Berlin offers twelve double diploma programs. In order to make an international course of studies possible, the TU Berlin has begun to offer more Bachelor and Master degree programs. About 6,000 international students currently study here; they come mainly from China, Turkey, Poland, Bulgaria, Russia, Cameroon and Indonesia. Additionally, the TU Berlin exchanges yearly up to 800 students with international academic institutions – tendency rising. About 18,000 graduates stay well in contact with the university through national and international alumni programs.

The work team “Betreuung für internationale Studierende“ - “Support for International Students” offers comprehensive advising for international students: begun with the individual advising – with questions regarding academics to visa and social questions – to the organization of excursions, company tours and cultural events. Orientation events occur over the course of a few days at the beginning of every semester for newly registered students. In addition, study-accompanied basic skills courses ease the connection to the regular teaching program.
