International

TU Braunschweig has built up an international network with partners in all parts of the world. Official cooperation agreements exist with over 50 academic institutions in over 20 countries that govern teacher, student and information exchanges with different focal points. The TU currently manages especially close cooperations with universities in China and South America, and, within the framework of the ERASMUS-program, with about 200 universities in Europe.
International students are an important part of the academic community at TU Braunschweig. 1,700 students from over 100 countries currently study in a degree program or within the frame of international exchange programs at the TU. The TU additionally offers international, interdisciplinary programs like the Masters program "Computational Sciences in Engineering".

Among others, the International Student Network supports international students at TU Braunschweig. The student team of the International Office organizes excursions, sporting events, parties and weekly meetings. And for support in their first steps in Braunschweig, there is the Patenprogramm – “Adoption program” – in which all newcomer international students receive a student who “adopts” them in order to lend a helping hand in the beginning.
