Academic Advising
Regular advising
The Zentrale Studienberatung (ZSB) - Central Academic Advising Office - of Universität Stuttgart advises those with specific qustions about certain subjects as well as students with general questions about studying, preparation and choice of subject, and gives information on the first steps at university.
The ZSB offers group advising, orientation seminars, individual advising, advising by telephone and advising by email.

Advising on request
Group advising
The Zentrale Studienberatung - Central Academic Advising Office – offers group advising during the periods in which classes take place. The goal of group advising is to help you make decisions about your course of studies.
In subject specific informational and advising events [German only], you will be informed about the structure of degree programs, subject content, career possibilities as well as further research opportunities about certain degree programs or academic fields.
A binding registration is necessary for all events.
Registration is possible by telephone: 0711/685-82133, by fax: 0711/685-82256, or by email: studienberatung(at)uni-stuttgart.de. You will not receive a registration confirmation. You will only be contacted if the group is already full. In this case, an alternative date will be offered. The registration is binding.
Where?
The events take place at different locations. Please inform yourself with the particular offer about where your event takes place. If a location has not yet been determined, you will find out the location when you register with the Zentrale Studienberatung - Central Academic Advising Office.
Schnupperstudium – Open House [German only]
This activity offers the opportunity to attend a “real” lecture at the university. With this, a first impression of studying and academic daily life can be won.
Note: A registration is not necessary unless it specifically says this in the program or when you would like to visit events in larger groups (more than 5 people). In the latter case, a pre-registration is necessary with the Zentrale Studienberatung - Central Academic Advising Office.
